I always enjoy listening to your signature chiptune music. The VS Therese theme was incredible.
The individual paths for each character were short to play through, but the story pacing and reveals were solid.
Harold and Lucius and Marsha have straightforward physical damage combos, while Reid has that up to eleven.
Makes sense that Therese has a low power level considering her scale of her world, but jesus...
I recognize the Harold from 'Re Punch', the Marsha from 'Magical Girl Marsha', and the Reid from 'Rage Against The Dying'.
I don't recognize the hammy Lucius or the normal-looking Therese, though. Is the latter from 2023's 'MILK quest?' Haven't tried that game yet.
I'm not sure which itch.io entry Lucius came from.
...
Finished the route for character number 6... didn't expect to feel bad for the guy.
As for the final battle, it was quite the [C]ulmination, though the fight itself was super short and anti-climactic.
Looking forward to what comes next in the Harold Saga.
Yup, Therese is from MILK Quest! Lucius is from Paragon, from the 2023 Harold Jam.
Thank you for playing!
Again, you uploading your music on youtube is what leaves to find your games. I had a fun time and I enjoyed the focus on cooldowns for gameplay (gotta be especially tactical with Therese). Most of the characters for me are a case of "watching a sequel to a movie I missed" due to this being first Harold Jam-related thing I experienced, though once you unlock the boss as playable and learn what's REALLY going on, I was completely blown away by the connection (though I suppose that music track should have clued me in). How deep does the Sawyer-verse go lol. So yeah, a good short game. Enjoyed my time.
I'm glad you liked it!
I tried pretty hard to make each of them at least followable if you haven't played their original games just because there are like 6 of these guys, but I can totally see the sequel issue since that's literally what they are.
Super happy that my music is finding people that like my work!
The combat was a bit confusing, but the game felt solid.
